If you can make reasonable profit then it make good sense to buy it back from insurance company (you should able to buy it back from them as junk metal, very cheap). Otherwise don't waste your time on it. Just take the money they give you and move on with your life. As for negotiate with them on the price, find out how much you can buy a similar truck.
